
Our Olive Grove is planted in the traditional way, with 100 to 200 year old, rain fed, widely spaced trees with several trunks (legs). We intend to introduce cover crops between the trees and stop tilling the soil. Encouraging flowering plants will help attract pollinators which will benefit our farm in the long term. Perhaps further down the line we may produce Cortijo Coracho™ Honey.

Our home is old and some sections retain the old traditional Spanish roofing made up of logs with cane matting on which the tiles are laid. Unfortunately, age and woodworm damage takes its toll.

Until a new roof can be built, emergency repairs are needed to keep the weather out.

An old fan cooling system was built into the wall. This was no longer needed so was removed, leaving a lovely yet short lived view we wont see again.

After four generations of the family living at the farm, the first task was to clear out the clutter. Sometimes this meant being ruthless, but you can only keep so many wood worm infested wardrobes.
